Japanese consumer goods manufacturer Kao, which owns beauty brands such as John Frieda, Molton Brown and Goldwell, has hired the7stars to handle its media planning and buying for its U.K. Consumer Care Business.

Following a competitive pitch overseen by Abintus Consulting, the media agency has been briefed with attracting new customers, while driving the business transformation across the company’s consumer care brand portfolio—which also includes Bioré and Curél.

This will begin with strengthening the John Frieda brand’s digital and integrated commerce strategy, which will take place through a test-and-learn approach.

In a statement, Wendy Brown, U.K.
