NEW YORK Michael O’Malley, president of J. Walter Thompson’s Detroit office and the global business director on the agency’s Ford Motor Co. account, resigned on Monday after a meeting with worldwide CEO Peter Schweitzer, sources said.

JWT is said to be eyeing several candidates for the Ford post. Among them is Sean Neall, a former JWT account executive in Detroit who left the agency several years ago, said sources. Neall used to work on Ford at JWT.
