JWT Rebrands Unit, Expands Exec Roles

NEW YORK JWT has expanded the roles of two leaders at JWT Employment Communications, its recruitment marketing and employee communications arm, and has re-branded the unit JWT Inside.

Jerry Touslee (shown), a former regional partner at JWT Employment Communications in Denver, has become North American president of JWT Inside, and Peter Womersley, former managing director for the Europe, Africa and Middle East regions in London, is now international president, overseeing all offices outside North America.

Previously, Touslee shared North American leadership duties with another regional partner, Mike Tsugranis, and Womersley’s international role was more limited. (Tsugranis left in June to re-join Omnicom Group’s Bernard Hodes Group, his agency before JWT Employment Communications—as a senior vice president and Northeastern regional manager.)

Touslee, 44, and Womersley, 45, will be based in Denver and London, respectively, and each will report to Rob Quish, CEO of JWT Specialized Communications, a division of JWT that includes Inside, JWT Boom, JWT Education and Ethos.

JWT Inside provides employer branding, college recruiting, media planning and buying, customer relationship marketing and internal communications services to clients such as Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, HSBC and Merrill Lynch. The agency employs some 350 staffers at 24 offices worldwide. The agency “will push our business in a new direction by offering our clients total solutions for employee engagement,” said Touslee, in a statement.

As for the new agency name, Quish said it was designed to better reflect the agency’s current focus. Historically, recuitment marketing centered around external messaging that was designed to attract new employees but increasingly today, clients also need help communicating internally to their employees.

The word “inside reflects the company’s insight into employees—be they prospective or current,” said Quish.
