JWT, MindShare Win Irish Tourism

Tourism Ireland said it has selected WPP’s J. Walter Thompson and MindShare to handle creative and media duties, respectively, on its global ad account. The budget is about $60 million over three years, the client said. The duo bested the two incumbents, finalists McCann Erickson and Universal McCann (both IPG), as well as WPP’s Young & Rubicam (which also partnered with MindShare) and Havas’ Euro RSCG and Media Planning Group. The account will be handled out of London.
