CHICAGO — Western Union is expected to name J. Walter Thompson as lead advertising agency on its $25 million advertising account, sources said.

The Chicago shop teamed with Zubi Advertising of Coral Gables, Fla., for the Denver-based wire transfer service’s business in a review that included Chicago shop Leo Burnett, who aligned with Lapiz, and BBDO who teamed with Hispanic agency partner Dieste, Harmel & Partners.

The agency referred calls to the client, who did not return phone calls for comment.
