NEW YORK J. Walter Thompson and Leo Burnett have both won eight Effie Awards, more than any other agency, the New York American Marketing Association said today.

JWT won Effies for work on behalf of Bandai America’s Strawberry Shortcake brand, Kraft Foods’ Breakstone’s, Cadbury Adams’ Halls Fruit Breezers, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Pfizer’s Listerine PocketPaks and Mouthwash, Symantec and White Castle.

Leo Burnett’s ads for Kellogg’s Froot Loops, Pop-Tarts and Special K, Binney & Smith’s Crayola, Delta Air Lines, Hallmark Cards, the Maytag Corp.
