That neighborhood sandwich shop owner thought he could make you an offer you couldn’t refuse. But now, the lords of vinegar and oil are quaking as Jimmy John’s comes for their turf.

In a spot that would make James Gandolfini, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro proud, Jimmy John’s is going gangster for its first-ever Super Bowl spot.

The first ad in “The Sandwich of Sandwiches” campaign is told from the perspective of the brand’s fictionalized competition, as personified by a not-so-vaguely North Jerseyian wise guy.
