TOKYO – The Japanese economy may get an indirect boost from the wedding of H.I.H. Crown Prince Haruhito and Masako Owada. Almost all of Japan watched the news of the engagement on Japanese TV. According to a Dentsu survey, 29-year-old Masako, who holds degrees from Harvard and Oxford, will have an impact on women aged 19-29, who will try to emulate her achiever image through higher education and international activities. She also should inspire new interest in clothing, accessories, hair styles and cosmetics.
