Jack Morton Worldwide has been selected to handle event marketing for software maker J.D. Edwards & Company.

Billings were not disclosed, but a source described the new business as worth several million dollars. The advertising account (including media buying) awarded to Deutsch in Los Angeles this fall was estimated at $25-30 million.

The Dallas office of Denver-based Jack Morton will managethe account. The local group is led by vice president, executive creative director and general manager Bill Callejas.

The selection followed a national review.
