It’s a Whole New Ball Game for Seiniger Veterans

Build it and the clients will come.
Open just two months, The Ballpark advertising agency is in full swing. Formed by three five-year veterans of Seiniger Advertising, the shop has already picked up several accounts, including local business telecommunications carrier TelePacific Communications and the national fall print campaign promoting TNT’s NBA broadcasts.
“It’s a good time for agencies,” said Alan Berkes, whose title is creative director/left fielder. “With all the [technology] and dot-com business, there’s an emphasis on creative shops. And with all the small San Francisco shops, there’s room in L.A.”
The agency has set up shop, complete with a green scoreboard painted on one wall, in a business park near the Santa Monica Airport. Rounding out the three-person team are account director/pitcher Andrew Shevin and creative director/first baseman Ron Luscinski.
The three are sports enthusiasts, but also want the name to suggest “a place where clients and the agency can truly work together as a team,” said Shevin.
The agency offers creative, brand positioning, strategic direction, account management and media services.
ACTV, a supplier of set-top box technology for digital cable systems, and, a Web site that allows users to compare quotes for business products and services, have also selected the agency for project work, said Shevin.
While at Seiniger, the three worked on a slew of accounts. For their work on NFL promotions for Fox, they won an Emmy, which sits in The Ballpark office amid several little league trophies.
