It’s E-Safety First at McCann SW has named McCann-Erickson Southwest the winner of its two-month agency review.
The shop’s Dallas office will spearhead initial marketing efforts intended to promote as the leading e-tailer and information source for home, business, automotive and personal safety.
Billings were not disclosed, but the planned campaign will be national in scope, according to Mark Denesuk, McCann’s newly appointed executive vice president and general manager.
“We showed a tremendous amount of enthusiasm; I think we synched up with their philosophy,” Denesuk said of the win. “McCann has always been about effectiveness . . . and we approached them with a strategy to attract results, not just attention.”
McCann has contracted to provide marketing strategy and general advertising. The client’s Internet and direct marketing accounts have not yet been assigned.
“We are very impressed with McCann-Erickson’s can-do attitude, wide range of account experience, media volume and results-driven creative ability,” said Wendy Diddell, senior vice president of Ultrak, the client’s Lewisville, Texas-based parent company.
Ultrak has said it intends to take SecurityandMore public. A substantial portion of the money raised in the offering will be used to fund a national marketing campaign.
