Modern period dramas aren’t all about tight bodices and gentle tea parties, as Irish betting site Paddy Power shows in its latest campaign, a spoof on the Netflix series Bridgerton.

To promote its free daily bingo offering, the mischievous brand is presenting a 30-second TV campaign called “Bingoton: Drama With Balls.”

The film transports viewers back to high-society 19th century to meet Miss Bingoton, her lady-in-waiting and the Master of Ceremonies as they assess gentleman suitors while using modern-day dating terms.

Each suitor is given a number before being dismissed by Miss Bingoton for various reasons.
