NEW YORK — Interpublic Group has landed Bank of America’s $170 million consumer and affluent-market business, sources said.

The holding company bested Omnicom Group for the creative account following pitches nearly two weeks ago and follow-up presentations this week. IPG’s Bozell is the incumbent and will retain general advertising responsibilities, while other IPG units including DraftWorldwide and R/GA will take on such duties as direct and interactive marketing.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based company launched the review in September.
