NEW YORK Interactive Edge said it has bought itself back from troubled Cordiant Communications Group.

The buyback returns the New York-based company to privately held status after nearly three years, with its co-founders, president and CEO Zel Bianco and chief operating officer Cynthia Carnesi, regaining ownership. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Cordiant is going through difficult circumstances,” said Bianco. “And like many companies that have made acquisitions … the integration never got to happen on the level we were happy with.”
