NEW YORK Deutsch said it has landed below-the-line duties for Aegon Direct Marketing services, an insurance company that specializes in life and supplemental health coverage, after a review of undisclosed agencies.

The Interpublic Group shop’s New York office will handle public relations, media planning and buying, as well as direct and interactive advertising for the Baltimore-based client’s critical illness insurance. Stonebridge Life Insurance underwrites the product. Billings were undisclosed.

In a statement, client vp of marketing Lew Whalen said, “We charged Deutsch with a tough task, but felt their direct marketing prowess will really get this product to resonate with consumers.”
