NEW YORK — Interpublic Group of Cos. Initiative Media North America has been awarded the $30 million Quizno’s media buying and planning account, the agency said.

Cliff Freeman & Partners, New York, had the planning duties for the Denver, Colorado-based subway sandwich franchise and holds on to the creative account, sources said. The incumbent for the buying business was Aegis Group’s Carat, New York.

Quizno’s spent about $15 million on media in 2001, according to CMR.
