What’s the first information you consume in the morning?

First, I check my cellphone for any messages or missed calls, then my emails and texts.

What do you read or watch or listen to at the breakfast table?

I look at Facebook and Twitter, which I use as my custom news feed. At the same time, I’m watching my coffee maker—my brain doesn’t function properly without caffeine—and I listen to my kids. My 3-and-half-year-old Honor’s morning-time stream of consciousness is pretty entertaining. Haven, my 7-month-old, is a little bundle of joy. She just giggles and drools all day with an occasional squeal.

What occupies your mind in the car, on the subway, train or bus?

Work, usually. My family is my focus when I’m at home, so when I’m anywhere else, I’m thinking about work.

Are you a TV junkie or on an airtime-restricted diet?

I’m not a junkie, but I’ll watch a program or three. Right now, I’m into Shameless, Modern Family and The Voice. My guilty pleasures are Storage Wars and I Survived. I’ve probably seen every episode. I’ll watch shows on my TV, iPad, laptop and my phone.

Before bed, do you bite into a novel, graze on Twitter or fast until morning?

Depends on my mood. I prefer a novel most nights, but getting my husband to turn off SportsCenter or The First 48 is impossible.

Which is more nutritious: print or Web?

Print is more nutritious, but the Web fills me up.

Give us the skinny on your favorite app.

Google Maps. There is nothing more frustrating than standstill rush-hour traffic and nothing more satisfying than taking side streets to get around it. If all else fails, I could be a personal traffic navigator—I outsmart my car’s GPS daily.

What key tech tools do you use for running The Honest Company and

We use different utility tools and apps for design, communication, fulfillment and customer service. The Honest Company is a brand that is being built online, so we rely pretty heavily on technology.

What’s your biggest digital indulgence?

My biggest indulgence is my iPhone 4S.

With such a bloated media universe, how do you cut out the fat?

We have family dinners with no phone or TV.
