Four shops have ad vanced in the competition for the Illinois Lottery’s $15-20 million business, according to a representative for the state agency.

Of the 13 shops that submitted proposal requests, Leo Burnett, DDB, J. Walter Thompson and Euro RSCG Tatham Partners, all Chicago, were selected to proceed.

The incumbent, Ogilvy & Mather in Chicago, chose not to defend the account after a two-and-a-half-year run, citing philosophical differences.
