Hubert Roars for Harris Bank

CHICAGO Hubert the lion, Harris Bank’s mascot, is getting a more dominant presence in new advertising from Arnold.

“We are making Hubert a lot more visible than he has been in the past,” said Bill Flynn, president of the Chicago agency, which handled the creative.

On Monday a new outdoor campaign will roll out in Chicago showing Hubert flexing his muscles and promoting Harris Bank’s checking services. Copy reads: “Lion power checking. Free, of course.”

A new television campaign, which will break in the fourth quarter, will also feature Hubert, Flynn said.

Spending on the effort was not disclosed.
