The newest commercials for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Tobacco Control Program are slated to begin airing this week and feature interviews with Bay State teens.
Created by Houston Herstek Favat, five 30-second spots were shot on videotape for a documentary feel, said agency vice president and associate creative director Marc Gallucci, who fashioned the ads with long-time partner Stu Cooperrider, senior vice president and associate creative director at the Boston shop.
The commercials use a question-and-answer format to let teens speak candidly about why they smoke and how it affects their lives.
