OMD Adds $200 Mil.-Plus Duties for Siemens, Sony

LOS ANGELES—Omnicom Group’s OMD has won European media duties for Sony and Siemens following reviews, sources said. The Sony business, which included consolidated duties for Sony’s music, consumer electronics and theatrical accounts, was estimated at $100 million-plus, while Siemen’s work, for its mobile phones, was estimated at $100 million. In the Sony review, OMD bested Cordiant Communications Group and Publicis Groupe’s Zenith Media and WPP Group’s MindShare, both London, while the Siemens account was won in competition against Aegis Group’s Carat, sources said.
