Doner Wins Account of Home & Garden TV

CHICAGO—Doner bested two finalists to win Home & Garden Television’s estimated $10-12 million ad account, sources said. The co-finalists were MARC USA, Chicago, and Fitzgerald & Co., Atlanta. Previously eliminated were Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago, and New York shops DeVito/Verdi, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos. Incumbent Lewis Communications, Birmingham, Ala., did not defend. HGTV’s vice president of marketing, Michael Boyd, did not return calls. Doner was closed for the holidays and executives could not be reached for comment.

Burns Set to Leave Fallon’s New York Office

NEW YORK—Alison Burns, president of Fallon here since 1998, will leave the shop to start a consultancy in New York, sources said.
