CiCi’s Drops Ward in Media Shuffle

DALLAS—Ward Communications has been dropped from the roster of media agencies at CiCi’s Pizza. The move came after the Carollton, Texas-based client decided to reassign its broadcast buying to Southeast regional agencies Media Solutions in Atlanta and Wenstrom Communications in Tampa, Fla. CiCi’s total broadcast spending is estimated at $10 million. Ward was given the print portion of the account, “but we resigned [it] just so we wouldn’t have a competitive issue that would keep us from going after other business,” said Shirley Ward, president of the Dallas agency.
