– DDB Drops Out of Run for Compass Banks
DALLAS–The short list of contenders for Compass Bank’s $8 million account has narrowed from four to three agencies. DDB Dallas has withdrawn from the review, leaving McKee Wallwork Henderson in Albuquerque, N.M., and two undisclosed agencies to battle it out for the Birmingham, Ala.-based bank’s business. The account was formerly held by The Richards Group in Dallas. DDB previously declined to confirm or deny its participation, but chief creative officer Steve Bassett last week said the agency has withdrawn from the pitch due to a conflict of interest.
