Hughes Leaves Cole Henderson Drake
ATLANTA–Less than two months after Cole Henderson Drake acquired her agency, Hughes Advertising, Dorothy Hughes has resigned as CHD president.
The two Atlanta shops came together with much fanfare [Adweek, July 12], but “we needed Dorothy to hit the ground working, and she wasn’t able to do that,” said CHD chairman John Drake. “She was spending all her time dealing with Hughes Advertising-related issues, and we felt it made more sense for us to distance ourselves and allow her to deal with that.”
