Burnett Joins Fogarty as Motorola Agency
CHICAGO–Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector in Phoenix awarded a new estimated $35 million global account to Leo Burnett, Chicago. Other finalists, according to sources, were Bozell Worldwide in New York and Foote, Cone & Belding, San Francisco. Fogarty Klein & Partners, Houston, has been handling domestic work for the unit, using the themeline, “Powered by Motorola.” A Motorola representative said Fogarty will continue handling unspecified assignments for the company.
AvreaFoster, Powell Launch DMA Campaign
DALLAS–The Dallas Museum of Art has enlisted Dallas agencies AvreaFoster, The Powell Group and KFranks Communications to develop a brand image for the museum and promote its current major exhibition, “Searching for Ancient Egypt: Art, Architecture and Artifacts,” running through Feb. 1. AvreaFoster is handling advertising and design for print and broadcast assignments, while Powell is heading marketing and public relations. KFranks is in charge of media.
McKee Wallwork Expands Client Roster
DALLAS–With new assignments from local clients Public Service Co. of New Mexico and Salazar & Sons Mortuary, Albuquerque, N.M., shop McKee Wallwork has boosted billings to $2 million since forming in July. Among clients at the shop are Presbyterian Healthcare Services, KOB-Channel 4, CEI Software and retailer Shoes On A Shoestring. Heading the shop are Steve McKee and Pat Wallwork, former executives with Albuquerque firm Strascina & Partners.
Knape Lands Simmons Corp. Account
DALLAS–Dallas agency Knape was selected as agency for Simmons Corp., a Richardson, Texas-based firm specializing in fuel leak detection for underground tanks. Knape will provide advertising, design, direct mail, public relations, collateral and trade show work on the business-to-business account. Billings were undisclosed.

DALLAS–United States Aluminum Corp.’s commercial products group in Waxahachie, Texas, hired Phillips, Team & Myers, Fort Worth, Texas, without a review. Phillips will develop a national trade print campaign for the client and redesign its Web site. Print ads that promote U.S. Aluminum’s new curtain wall system break in Architectural Record this month. Billings were undisclosed.
