Richards Drops Out of Nordstrom Hunt
DALLAS–The Richards Group here withdrew from contention for the national branding assignment of Seattle-based department store chain Nordstrom. The agency said it lacked the resources to pursue the account, in the wake of other recent client acquisitions. The remaining three finalists for the estimated $20-30 million assignment are N.W. Ayer & Partners in New York, Saatchi & Saatchi Pacific in Torrance, Calif., and Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis. A decision is expected this month.
