WPP Group Buys Stake in Brierley
DALLAS–WPP Group in London has purchased a 20 percent stake in Brierley & Partners, which makes its niche in developing customer loyalty programs for clients like Blockbuster and United Airlines. The amount of the cash deal, announced late last week, was not disclosed. President Hal Brierley remains the single largest shareholder in the organization. Mike Breslin, a representative for the Dallas-based direct marketing company, said the arrangement will allow Brierley & Partners access to the international client base of all WPP Group agencies.
