Reebok Assigns Media Duties to Grey
NEW YORK-Reebok International in Stoughton, Mass., has assigned its $95 million worldwide media and planning account to Grey Advertising in New York following a review, said Reebok representative Dave Fogelson. DMB&B in New York was the runner-up. Leo Burnett in Chicago had handled both media and creative duties for Reebok before Burnett resigned the account in May. Consulting firm Bismark Corp. in Dennis, Mass., oversaw the media review process. Heater Advertising in Boston now serves as Reebok’s lead creative agency.

Bronner Slosberg Wins Work From Enron, Pfizer
BOSTON-Bronner Slosberg Humphrey has been selected to handle direct marketing duties for Enron Energy Services, said company official Gary Foster. The client is the retail arm of Houston-based utility company Enron Corp. The Boston shop will help Enron Energy Services target residential, commercial and industrial customers in light of continued nationwide deregulation in the utilities industry, Foster said. Ammirati Puris Lintas in New York remains Enron’s lead ad agency. Separately, Bronner Slosberg has been tapped for “national assignments” by Pfizer, a New York-based pharmaceutical company, sources said. Pfizer officials did not return phone calls by press time, and agency executives could not be reached. Combined billings on the Enron and Pfizer accounts are estimated at $20-25 million, sources said.

Skinner-James Wins Mass. Business Development
BOSTON-Skinner-James in Watertown, Mass., has won the business development marketing account of the Massachusetts Office of Economic Development, said state representative Alex Sutton. Other contenders were: CC and D Communications, Greenberg Seronick O’Leary & Partners, Holland Mark Martin and Trinity Communications, all in Boston. Incumbent Houston Herstek Favat in Boston did not defend the account, worth between $500,000 and $2 million a year, contingent on legislative appropriation.

Three Shops in Hunt for Wolf Pack
BOSTON-Three Connecticut agencies are vying for the advertising account of the Hartford Wolf Pack. They are: Cashman & Katz in Cromwell, Conn.; KGA in Middletown, Conn.; and Elkinson & Sloves in Farmington, Conn. The Wolf Pack is the American Hockey League’s development team for the New York Rangers. Billings are estimated at $500,000.

AutoNation Looks for Promotion Agency
ATLANTA-AutoNation USA, a unit of Republic Industries in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is said to be shopping for a sales promotion agency. The assignment stems from a desire to adopt a new merchandising strategy, sources said. Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston is AutoNation’s lead agency. It is not involved in the current review and does not anticipate losing assignments because of it, sources said.
