MRA Makes Top Management ChangesATLANTA—Integrated marketing agency MRA has named Cheryl Lee vice chairman. Agency founder Scott Russell will relocate from the shop's parent, MRA Group in Syracuse, N.Y., to assume the presidency in Atlanta. Lee now focuses on business development and community involvement, drawing upon 25 years of experience in Atlanta. Russell will oversee accounts including The Athlete's Foot, Vertical One and Honeywell Nylon.Martin/Williams Replaces Martin at SteelcaseCHICAGO—Office equipment supplier Steelcase has named Martin/Williams its new agency. The Grand Rapids, Mich., company chose the Minneapolis shop for its estimated $5-10 million account following a review that also involved BBDO in Minneapolis, according to sources. Richmond, Va., incumbent The Martin Agency did not participate.Bassett Furniture Chooses Hamlin MarketingATLANTA—Bassett Furniture Industries, a manufacturer of home furnishings, has named the Hamlin Marketing Group its agency of record. The Bassett, Va.-based company, which has Bassett Furniture Direct outlets in 33 countries, went with the familiar in its agency choice. Janice Hamlin, the Martinsville, Va., shop's principal, is Bassett's former vice president of marketing. Billings were not disclosed.Ogilvy Is Second Finalist for Peanut BoardATLANTA—Ogilvy & Mather has been identified as the remaining finalist in the review for the National Peanut Board's $10 million account. Ogilvy's office here has teamed with local minority marketing agency Anderson Communications for the Atlanta-based account. Mithof Burton & Partners of El Paso, Texas, is the other finalist. A decision is expected this week.FB&I Creates 'Fang Fever' for PredatorsATLANTA—Frank Best & Ingram has created the advertising slogan "Fang fever" for the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators, succeeding last year's "The beast is back." The Nashville, Tenn., agency replaced the same city's Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence, which, contradicting earlier reports, did not defend the account [Adweek, Aug. 21]. BCF&M Wins Gold in Healthcare AdvertisingATLANTA—Barker Campbell Farley & Mansfield Advertising and Public Relations took home the gold at the Healthcare Marketing Report's annual ad awards for "The Best Doctors in New York." The Virginia Beach, Va., shop's work for Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., topped more than 2,7000 entries at the healthcare awards competition.SW Florida AAF Awards Bersch Silver MedalATLANTA—Jean A. Bersch has received the Silver Medal for her outstanding lifetime contributions to the ad industry from the Southwest Florida chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Bersch is the founder and co-owner of The Set Up, a desktop publishing service in Cape Coral, Fla.
