Sub-Zero Fridges Land at Richards

CHICAGO—Sub-Zero Freezer Co. has awarded its$10-12 million account to The Richards Group, an agency official confirmed. The Dallas shop beat out Martin/Williams in Minneapolis after a review. In addition to promoting the Madison, Wis., company’s high-end refrigerators, Richards will handle advertising for the Wolf Gourmet brand of ranges and cooktops.

Beaird Agency Helps Launch Tavern

DALLAS—The Beaird Agency has been selected to handle a variety of communications projects for Steak and Ale Tavern. The new dining concept, from parentMetromedia Restaurant Group in Dallas, is aimed at a younger clientele than the firm’s traditional Steak and Ale chain. Dallas-based Beaird will be responsible for menu design, product branding, uniforms, Web site development and other assignments.

NixHilton Walks on the Texas Wild! Side

DALLAS—NixHilton Interactive, a systems integration and Web design specialist, has been selected by the Fort Worth Zoo as Internet media consultants for its upcoming expansion. The facility will soon open the Texas Wild! exhibit, an eight-acre re-creation of the Lone Star State that celebrates Texas’ diversity of plant and wildlife. Fort Worth-based NixHilton is creating a Web site ( as well as an educational adventure game that will be accessed through touch-screen kiosks in Texas Wild!.

Fedele Gears Up Own Marketing Practice

DALLAS—Anthony Fedele, principal and creative director at Flowers & Fedele, said he will leave the agency after Jan. 1 to form shout, inc. According to Fedele, initial clients at the shop here will include AchenbaumBogda Associates, a Dallas-based marketing consulting and agency search company, and Luxe Worldwide Hotels of Beverly Hills, Calif. Fedele joined Paul Flowers at the Dallas agency in 1992.

Nortel Puts $50 Mil. Account in Review

NEW YORK—Nortel Networks in Brampton, Ontario, is contacting shops about its estimated $50 million advertising account, sources said. The business is now handled by Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas.

Keating Magee Names Feigley CD

NEW ORLEANS—Keating Magee Advertising & Public Relations has appointed Stuart Feigley vice president and creative director. Feigley, who replaces Brian Tosh at the New Orleans agency, returns to Louisiana from Columbus, Ohio, where he was creative director at SBC Advertising. Feigley, a Clio finalist, has had his work showcased in Communication Arts’ advertising annual.

Republic Bank Selects Peak/Biety

ATLANTA—Peak/Biety Advertising + Marketing has been retained by Republic Bank to provide marketing and advertising services. The financial institution, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., operates 80 full-service branches throughout the state. Peak/Biety is located in Tampa, Fla.
