“Leslie Lands Giant Food Stores Project
ATLANTA-Leslie Advertising of Greenville, S.C., has secured broadcast creative project work for Giant Food Stores in Carlisle, Pa. The agency has completed a trio of television spots that will air in five Eastern states and the District of Columbia. Leslie has performed broadcast creative duties for Giant’s sister supermarket chain, Bi-Lo Food Stores, based in Mauldin, S.C. Both grocery chains are owned by Dutch parent company Royal Ahold. A Leslie official said the project work could reach $1 million.
“Martin Agency Opens Office in Denver
ATLANTA-The Martin Agency of Richmond, Va., said last week it was opening an office in Denver to service its Yellow Pages Publishers Association (YPPA) business. The branch, which will eventually have four or five staffers, will be headed by Martin vice president Tim Geisert, who manages the YPPA account at the agency. “Our goal is both to reinforce the Yellow Pages as a powerful advertising medium and position it as a sourcebook of ideas,” said Giesert. The agency, which secured the YPPA business last year, broke its initial campaign for the client late last year in a series of TV and radio spots featuring actor/comedian Jon Lovitz. Giesert has been with the agency six years.
“Madison Marquette Realty Keeps Current
ATLANTA-Current (formerly W.T. Quinn) here has been retained by Madison Marquette Realty Services to represent a pair of its retail shopping centers. Those complexes are The Mall at Green Hills, an indoor center with 35 stores exclusive to the Nashville, Tenn., market, and Fashion Island, a sprawling outdoor property of upscale retailers in Newport Beach, Calif. Combined billings for the two accounts are estimated at $1 million.
“MGH Advertising Adds 5 Clients to Roster
ATLANTA-Baltimore-based MGH Advertising has acquired five clients, whose cumulative billings total $850,000. The new accounts on MGH’s roster are: BlazeNet, a provider of Internet-based products and services for the business community; the Papa John’s Pizza co-op for four Pennsylvania cities; the Junior League of Baltimore; Depression and Related Affective Disorders Association; and Needles Case Management, a software system for attorneys.
“CadmusCom to Represent St. Laurent
ATLANTA-CadmusCom of Richmond, Va., has been hired by St. Laurent Paperboard of Montreal. The paper manufacturer primarily makes linerboard for corrugated containers. St. Laurent owns three paper mills in Quebec, Canada, and one in West Point, Va., the company’s American base. CadmusCom has started a brand identity project.
