Cadillac Changes Interactive Shops
CHICAGO–General Motors’ Cadillac division moved its interactive marketing account to Bowne, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., after 18 months with Poppe Tyson Interactive-West in Mountain View, Calif. Bowne also works with GM’s Buick division. Steve Rosenblum, Cadillac advertising director, said the switch followed a review, but declined to name other contenders. Billings are undisclosed.
Kohler Shopping TV Assignment
CHICAGO–The Kohler Co., Kohler, Wis., is reviewing agencies for a TV campaign backing its kitchen and bathroom fixtures. Grey Advertising in New York, which handles print work for Kohler, is among the agencies participating in the the national review, said Michael G. Mueller, the company’s director of advertising and promotional services. Kohler spent $12 million on print advertising last year, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Mueller declined to confirm the total budget or the portion of this year’s budget that will be spent on TV efforts. Kohler’s last TV work was created by Deutsch in New York more than a year ago.
DMB&B Taps Creative Head for Mars in Europe
NEW YORK–D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles tapped Carole Christie to head European creative efforts for Mars Inc. Christie is currently senior vice president and group creative director for the M&M/Mars and Coca-Cola accounts in DMB&B’s St. Louis office. Christie will relocate to Amsterdam and assume European creative responsibilities for overseas Mars brands. Succeeding Christie as a group creative director in St. Louis is Ron Crooks, who had been a vice president and creative director at the agency.
JWT Names New Kraft Account Chief
CHICAGO–J. Walter Thompson is shifting David
Faulkner, director-in-charge of its London office, to Chicago as worldwide director on its Kraft cheese account. He will succeed Lori Donchak, who last month announced her resignation as worldwide Kraft account director, effective in April.
Burnett Named Kraft Outdoor AOR
CHICAGO–Kraft Foods in Northfield, Ill., named Leo Burnett’s Starcom media unit its first agency of record for out-of-home media, primarily outdoor. Billings are estimated at $10 million. Separately, Mark Figliulo, senior vice president and managing creative director at Burnett’s “Agency B” mini-agency, left to join Dark Light Pictures in Santa Monica, Calif., as a director.
