Host of Clients Take Accounts To B.D. Fox

B.D. Fox & Friends has expanded both its entertainment and new media client rosters with the addition of several new pieces of business, lifting billings nearly 20 percent.
The Santa Monica, Calif., agency, which most recently completed a campaign for the Warner Bros./Village Roadshow feature film The Matrix, has picked up ad assignments for film and entertainment Web site, as well as Warner Bros. DVD and family entertainment provider Sony Wonder. The shop has also extended its contract with CBS Television, for which it produces all entertainment print advertising, for an additional three years. (formerly Hollywood Online) commissioned B.D. Fox to create a branding campaign of 15-second movie trailers, in-theater posters, outdoor billboards and spot TV ads. Previous advertising was handled in-house. The agency also established cross-promotional tie-ins with the CBS network, which owns a 35 percent stake in
The Warner work covers all production and marketing for the client’s DVD titles, an assignment B.D. Fox will split with DZM, Los Angeles. The shop won the business after a review of undisclosed entertainment shops, said B.D. Fox president and chief executive officer Brian Fox. The agency has handled Warner Home Video for more than 14 years.
For Sony Wonder, the shop will handle creative and media buying for the company’s established entertainment products.
Separately, B.D. Fox’s new media division has added LucasArts Entertainment Co. and Lucas Learning Ltd. to its growing roster. The division completed packaging and promotional materials for LucasArts Star Wars: Episode 1 CD-ROM games.
