NEW YORK – Hormel is testing a line of Oriental vegetable-and-sauce jarred meals under its House of Tsang brand. The vegetable and sauce combos mix with meat to make a one-skillet meal, like Ragu’s Chicken Tonight sauces. Hormel is testing four flavors: Szechuan Hot & Spicy; Tokyo Teriyaki; Hong Kong Sweet & Sour; and Cantonese Classic. National expansion is the ultimate goal of the four-market test.
