Horizon Imports Media Solutions Exec

NEW YORK Independent Horizon Media has hired Marc Strijdveen as svp, director creative media solutions, a new position.

Strijdveen will be responsible for devising strategies based on consumer, business and channel insights. New York-based Strijdveen will report to Oliver Maletz, svp, managing director of Horizon’s insights group.

“With Marc now onboard, we have the final piece of the puzzle in place. Business, consumer and channel insights [offline and digital] coupled with proven right-brained creative thinking, will bring us to powerful places for our clients, their brand communication plans and most importantly, their business,” said Maletz.

“The media climate is evolving at such a rapid pace today. Now more than ever, it is critical to have a strong understanding of how best to integrate all facets of traditional and non-traditional media applications to a marketing campaign,” added Strijdveen.

Most recently, Strijdveen was the managing director of Eurizon Amsterdam, HMI’s European market subsidiary in the Netherlands. Nine of his 15-plus years in the business were spent in the media department at BBDO in Amsterdam, where he served in such roles as managing director and media concepts director. Past client experience includes Apple, Amstel, MTV, Converse and Foot Locker.
