Hopp NominateD As 4a’s Vice Chair

The advisory council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies has nominated Anthony Hopp, chairman and CEO of IPG’s Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Mich., to serve a one-year term as vice chairman of the trade group’s board of directors. Hopp is expected to assume the role of chairman, as is customary for the vice chair, in 2006. Ron Berger, chief creative officer and CEO at Havas’ Euro RSCG in New York, is the current chair at the 4A’s.



Clear Channel, Stern Drop Suits

New York Clear Channel and Howard Stern said they have agreed to drop their respective lawsuits against each other. The suits stemmed from Clear Channel’s move a year ago to pull Stern off its radio stations in Miami, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Fla., Rochester, N.Y., and Louisville, Ky., over indecency issues. Stern is set to join Sirius Satellite Radio on Jan. 1, 2006.
