Diane Hong has been named director of advertising for Mitsubishi Motors, replacing Paul Mareski, who resigned as vp of advertising, effective July 9, the company said last week. Hong joined in March as manager of brand strategy. Mareski’s departure comes six months after he arrived from Team One. IPG’s Deutsch/LA in Marina del Rey, Calif., handles Mitsubishi ads. The Cypress, Calif.-based client spent about $280 million on ads last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
