Winchell’s has inked a deal with its dream spokesperson: Homer Simpson. To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the Santa Ana, Calif.-based donut chain has cooked up a promotion with Twentieth Century Fox, featuring Simpson as ‘Donut Ambassador to the World.’ Said Winchell’s president Nancy Parker: ‘Homer is famous for his donut addiction. He claims he can identify every Winchell’s variety with just on whiff.’ Indeed, in most episodes of Fox’s The Simpsons, Homer is seen eating at least one donut.
