FULLERTON, CALIF. – Home improvement warehouse chain HomeBase has obtained a contempt of court decree against Sacramento, Calif.-based Contractors’ Warehouse. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California held Contractors’ Warehouse in contempt of court of an existing court order prohibiting the company from engaging in certain types of false advertising practicies. The action stemmed from Contractors’ TV and radio ads which compared certain products and prices with those of HomeBase and other competitors.
