NEW YORK Select Resources International is contacting agencies for a new assignment from PacifiCare Health Systems, sources said.

The Cypress, Calif.-based HMO serves about 9 million customers in eight Western and Southwestern states, according to Hoovers Online.

Questionnaires went out last week asking agencies for case studies and credentials for the assignment. The client intends to launch a campaign in 2006 for PacifiCare’s introduction of its Medicare prescription drug benefit plan, sources said. PacifiCare plans to spend upwards of $25 million, sources said.
