Hipkin Assumes Presidency of Brann S.F.

SAN FRANCISCO James Hipkin has been promoted to president of the San Francisco office of Brann Worldwide, a new position, the agency said.

Hipkin, 49, joined Brann in February 2002 as evp and general manager of the office. He has been credited with several major account wins for the direct marketing agency, including Wells Fargo, Nestle and Safeway.com.

“Since joining to lead Brann’s West Coast operations, James has solidified the presence of the San Francisco office in the marketplace and initiated a number of strategic initiatives designed to position the firm for tremendous future growth,” said Andy Wright, president of U.S. operations for Brann Worldwide in Wilton, Conn. Brann is a division of Havas-owned Arnold Worldwide Partners Network.

In addition to Hipkin’s promotion, the San Francisco office also hired Jack Hallahan as director of business development. Hallahan, 42, has more than 18 years of marketing and brand-building experience, working with clients such as Visa USA, Mattel, Sega and Procter & Gamble. He spent 10 years in advertising and publishing at Men’s Health magazine.
