Hill, Holliday to Acquire Frankfurt Balkind

BOSTON — Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos on Monday agreed to acquire Frankfurt Balkind Partners, a 70-person brand identity and marketing communications shop in New York, agency officials said. Terms were not disclosed.

Frankfurt Balkind, an independent, will be folded into the New York office of Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, which already employs over 125 people. The agency has more than $800 million in overall billings nationwide.

Aubrey Balkind, president of Frankfurt Balkind, will retain the title of president, overseeing his staff as a semi-autonomous division inside Hill, Holliday. The Frankfurt Balkind name will remain. Clients moving to Hill, Holliday, N.Y., as part of the acquisition include Pitney Bowes, MSG Network, Market Access, Fordham University and the Guggenheim Museum.
