An executive brought in to bring big-agency thinking to MARC USA in Pittsburgh has left the shop after less than six months, the latest of three high-level departures in the past year.

Kevin Tromp joined MARC last summer after a brief stint as chief marketing officer with an education company in California.

He was hired as svp, director of account management because of his extensive experience with large agencies. He had been chief operating officer and director of account management at FCB Direct in Chicago, a key executive on the United Airlines business when it was at Young & Rubicam, and spent many years with Leo Burnett in his native South Africa.

Tromp could not be reached, and it was not known where he went after leaving MARC earlier this year.
