NEW YORKFollowing last week’s firing of Jim Heekin as CEO of McCann-Ericson Worldgroup, the American Associations of Advertising Agencies will keep current chairman Ken Kaess in his post for another year.

Kaess, president-ceo of DDB Worldwide, was slated to be replaced by Heekin this April. Instead, the 4As’ advisory council nominated him for a second consecutive term. Ron Berger, ceo-chief creative officer of Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners was nominated to serve as vice-chairman. He has been serving as a director-at-large since 2000.
