Health Club Network, Town Sports Strike Deal

Health Club Media Network, a U.S. out-of-home media network, announced Thursday (Feb. 11) a long-term partnership with Town Sports International Holdings.

The deal adds 158 venues to HCMN’s network, expanding it to nearly 4,000 health clubs, and strengthens the net’s footprint in some of the nation’s largest markets. In New York, for example, the addition of TSI puts HCMN into nearly 450 clubs.

As part of the agreement, HCMN will install static panel and digital-screen media offerings in all TSI Clubs. The deal also allows HCMN to accelerate its digital expansion plans in New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, D.C. By the end of second quarter, HCMN plans to offer its digital network in more than 600 clubs and grow to 1,000 clubs by the end of the year.

HCMN’s digital screens placed in each club’s common workout areas, broadcast brand client advertising and related messaging integrated with club-specific content, such as class schedules and fitness personnel profiles.
