BOSTON French holding company Havas today reported net income of nearly $45 million in 2004, compared to a loss of more than $520 million the previous year, based on the current rate of exchange.

Its full-year operating margin was 13.2 percent, compared to 8.3 percent in 2003, the company said.

On a comparable basis and at constant exchange rates, organic growth improved 2 percent in 2004, peaking in the fourth quarter, which showed a 4.6 percent improvement over 2003.
