Marketing officials at Hav-A-Tampa last week confirmed the company was in the final stage of a review for its $1 million advertising account.
Currently, there is no incumbent on the business.
A representative of the Tampa, Fla.-based company said that the agency search has been reduced to a list of undisclosed shops. All of the contenders are said to be located in the Southeast.
The advertising assignment is twofold: resurrect the Hav-A-Tampa brand so it can garner more respect among serious cigar smokers, and help the company market its new premium products.
Officials at Hav-A-Tampa are expected to make a final decision before the end of the month.
