Hart-Boillot Scores 3 Wins

Hart-Boillot has been retained by three clients: clothier Reflec USA, toy maker Paul K. Guillow and the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

The wins are worth an estimated $500,000-1 million combined. Despite the modest billings, they provide the small agency with new creative platforms and additional exposure for its work, said Nicolas Boillot, president of the Waltham, Mass., shop.

Reflec of Ashland, Mass., has named H-B its lead agency. The client became acquainted with H-B after its recent acquisition of agency client Glow Dog. Reflec manufactures clothing made of Illuminite fabric, which reflects light directly back to its source.

H-B has been charged with creating collateral material for the client’s line of safety vests, which are designed for highway and construction workers. The agency will also be responsible for catalog design and trade show materials.

Paul K. Guillow, a Wakefield, Mass., company which manufactures balsa wood model airplane kits, has chosen the shop to promote its product line. The client’s inventory includes the Sopwith Camel, P-38 Lightning and P-51 Mustang planes. H-B is putting the finished touches on print ads for the X-Racer, set to break in the October issues of Toy Book and Play Things. The work targets both children and adult collectors.

The agency added project work for the U.S. branch of the WSPA following a review of several area design shops. WSPA is known for its rescue work with animals caught in the midst of natural or man-made disasters. The organization conducts educational and animal welfare work throughout the world. Its American base is in Framingham, Mass.; global headquarters are located in the U.K. H-B is redesigning the organization’s semi-annual newsletter.

“We really liked their energy and they had a lot of enthusiasm for our cause,” said Joan Yenawine, communications manager at WSPA. “We were also [impressed] by the creative work they did for small budgets.”

“[The newsletter] is a feel-good piece for people who have been supporting the WSPA,” said Kevin Hart, vp and creative director at the shop. “It shows what good their money has been doing.”

H-B’s other clients include Aviat Aircraft, Harvard University, Hew-lett-Packard and OutStart.
