Hart-Boillot to Launch Soapstone

BOSTON Hart-Boillot has been hired by Soapstone Networks for creative services, the agency said.

“We selected Hart-Boillot because of the agency’s familiarity with network and applications markets,” said Esmeralda Swartz, vp, marketing and business development, at the client in Billerica, Mass. “We needed an agency that could translate our ground-breaking technical story into compelling visual messages.”

Soapstone’s software products are designed to improve the efficiency of large IP networks . (The company was launched as the services platform division of router company Avici Systems.)

“Working with Soapstone fits well with the agency’s sweet spot—taking a complex b-to-b technology story and translating it into a strong visual identity,” said Kevin Hart, vp, cd at the independent shop in Waltham, Mass. The budget was not disclosed, but is likely in the six-figure range.

The shop’s most recent work includes a national campaign late last year for SmartSilver’s antimicrobial protection process for fibers and fabrics. That print-based effort targeted the textile trade.

Hart-Boillot’s other clients include AmeriVault, EMC, GetConnected, NanoHorizons, the Messaging Industry Association, Vicor Corp., Milton CAT and Harvard University, among others.
